Pop Pop the Hero

Today we got a call from Kim who wanted to tell Bob a story. Last weekend he visited Kim and Gerry and attended Casey's baseball game. (I was under house arrest and could not go. :) Most of the time he was with Hannah and Krissy at the playground adjoining the ballfield. It seems that the girls found a hole in the dirt and wanted to put their hands into it, but Pop Pop told them not to. "Why not?" "Well, because there may be some animal down there." "What kind of animal?" "Oh, could be a snake!" After that the girls were convinced to stay away from the enticing hole. Kim's call today was to tell Bob that he was the big hero at their house. The playground today was closed because a snake was found there! The girls remembered what Pop Pop had said and told their mother with wide-eyed wonder. What a nice Father's Day story!
