Finally Florida

Oh my, it's been more than a year. I found a draft of a post on this blog that goes back a year and celebrates the completion of our second book. Where do I begin? We're here in Florida at

Riverbend where we are becoming more and more a part of this community of couples with

motorcoaches. And while I'm on the subject let me expound about "motorcoaches". They are

not trailers, campers, and they are not even RV's.....they are called motorcoaches. Here in the resort we speak of our "coaches" and we have extended living space in our "coach houses". We recently held a Motorcoach show at our river clubhouse parking lot; there were several coaches on display ranging in price from 400,000 dollars to well over a million dollars. Riverbend is a motorcoach resort and does not offer rentals or sales of lots to trailers, fifth wheels (the trailers that are hooked onto the back of a pickup truck) or any motorcoach less than 30 feet in length.

So it would make sense that the people who purchase property here have been successful enough in their careers to be able to afford a motorcoach and the property, taxes and community fees that accompany this lifestyle. Better yet, our neighbors all have an adventurous nature and feel, like us, that retirement is not a time to sit by the fire but a time of life when we are free from responsibilities and ready to explore all sorts of frontiers.
